Hey guys,
John here with the next installment of the 7 Figures Newsletter.
First, I know we promised numbers for you, and I promised to get a purple Mohawk if we didn’t hit them. And as Liz so kindly pointed out in the last letter, chances are, that’s gonna happen.
Maybe I’ll turn this into a contest or something where I fly out to the winner, do some lunch, maybe a couple of drinks, and then we head over to your hairstylist for the new purple Mohawk, and you film it for everybody else.
I’ll let you decide on that possibility with your comments to this post, but I digress.
Yes, the pre-year plan was $1 million dollars. And at my current rate, it may be just about half that. Nothing to cry about, but obviously as Liz mentioned, we have work to do to make sure that we come back and beat the hell out of that goal in ‘08.
So on to today’s subject - I had some other cool stuff to share with you originally, but, something arose out of the launch that Liz and I just did, that got me thinking… and got me wanting to share with you - so that you could consider this for your own business.
Our recent launch did just shy of $65,000. A respectable launch for us, and we had a solid team of affiliate partners to back us up.
Before I go into where I felt we fell short, let me share where I feel we were strong…
1) Product - Liz does a hell of a job with creating solid content and this package was a huge value.
2) Copy - I’m not a cat that usually blows my own horn, but for launch dissection sake, the copy did its job and did it well.
3) Partners - Liz and I both have built relationships with several top marketers and they came willingly to help us launch.
4) Support - Don’t know if you know this, but Liz’s husband Jamie is the support for our customers, among many other things, and he just knows how to get things done. Also, our programmer is like eternally on call, and it’s fantastic to know that when something bad happens on the tech side we can pull him in and make it go away.
All in all, some pretty sweet stuff happened during this launch.
However, here’s where I feel like we could have kicked some major ass - and where we did not. The back end. Now Liz has done a great job of bringing together relevant and quality back end offers to tie to this launch, but that is not exactly what I am talking about here.
Because this launch was on a PLR product, we had to limit the front end customers in order to keep from diluting the value of the PLR product.
And once you limit the front end, then you obviously limit the One Time Offer. Now, I’m a copy dude, so I think in terms of percentages all the time. I do this because I have to make sure that my copy converts, so that my clients or Liz and me are making the maximum money we can per customer.
Now, go back to what I said before - we limited the front end. By default that means the most OTO’s that could be sold were to as many people that bought the front end, a limited amount.
But that is a perfect world and will NEVER happen for anyone. 100% OTO conversion is ridiculous… In the IM community converting at over 10% at the pricepoint we were at is considered pretty solid (not a hard fast rule but good gauge).
We did around 20%. Good conversion rate, but that means if you sell 1000 on the front end, the best you can really hope for on the OTO is 200 on the back end. Then you’re done. Finished.
Starting to see where I am going here? Good if you are - and if you are not - well, here’s one of my points… Had we not done a product with a limited front end, we could very well have sold far more units on the back end. Bottom line = better monetization.
That’s not all though. My second point, is that we did a fairly conservative back end price of $97 per unit. Makes conversions easier sure, but what if we had done a $497 OTO, or a $997 OTO?
Sure, not everyone would have been able to afford it. Sure the conversions might not have been as good, but let’s math this out for a second.
Using our number 20% at $97 per unit - 20% of the original 1000 that bought the front end is 200 units * $97 = $19,400.
But 200 units at $497 = $99400. And 200 units at $997 = $199,400. Whoa. Big difference, right?
But, hold on, that’s not exactly apples to apples. Because I said the conversions could drop. Now, here’s where I am being more speculative, because I really cannot be sure what the conversions would have been at those price points, without actually running them - but I have enough history with this stuff to probably ballpark it pretty nicely.
What if we slipped down to 10% conversions? That would have been 100 buyers at $497 = $49,700. And 100 buyers at $997 would have been $99,700. Still pretty damn good.
Hey, let’s say that we only converted at 5% at $497. That’s 50 people and $24,850. And if we did 5% at $49850. Either way, still more money on the back, for the same amount of work. And at $997 it’s a significant amount more.
And remember, that this is based on a limited front end. If there was no limit, then these numbers could go off the charts.
In closing, I’d just like to suggest that you bear in mind the limitations of scarcity. Sure, it may get people to move quicker to a sale, but you have said in no uncertain terms that you can only make X dollars and no more.
And, of course, try your hand at some higher ticket back end products. It’s not as hard as you think it is, in fact, you can do it so that other people do almost all of the work for you (that’s my next letter).
Hope this one finds you well, and hope this gets you thinking and strategizing. Let me know on the Mohawk contest. I will say this - if I do it, unfortunately I am limited to travel in the US. While I love the idea of heading out of town for a Mohawk… I don’t know if I could get the wife green light for an overseas trip:)
Cheers to you,
John & Liz

Now that John and I are in full force on our profit funnel of buying and selling niche websites, we thought we’d start educating all of our My Seven Figures readers on this topic.
This is still a business in its infancy, but one I don’t see going anywhere any time soon. Although the buying and selling of websites has been going on for a very long time, it’s only been in the last year that it’s become incredibly popular and well known.
I’ve spent the day trying to find some of the best resources about buying and selling niche websites and here’s what I’ve come up with.
Enjoy the resources, get a good education and stay tuned for more information and John and I launch www.SellMyNiche.com
Dave and Jay, the “Crazy Web Entrepreneurs” have a 3 part series on their blog that is all about website flipping. You can check it out by clicking here.
http://www.notyouraverage.net isn’t your average site at all. This is a great site I found that has a ton of great content about selling websites.
If you don’t know already, adult websites are hot sellers, and this site does talk about adult websites and have links to adult websites. If you are offended by adult material, then don’t visit that site.
John and I aren’t dealing with any adult websites with the niche sites we are dealing with and to make money in the buying and selling websites niche, you don’t have to either.
As I said though, this site is a great resource site that contains killer information!
Here’s a great blog post about when to sell your website when you get into website flipping… natewhitehill.com/when-to-sell-a-site-a-brief-guide-to-site-flipping
Yaro Starak has a VERY in depth post about website flipping at www.entrepreneurs-journey.com/274/how-to-buy-a-website-and-flip-it-for-profit This is a long one so settle in for a good read…
If you haven’t noticed, website flipping is HOT!
Although it’s not the only thing you can do inside the buying and selling niche websites niche, it is the easiest, and quickest way to make money, so it may be where you want to start!
Okay, that’s it for today!
The below article was written by me (Liz) to start the promotion for www.SellMyNiche.com Article marketing is a great traffic tactic, and one that we will be using a lot to get traffic into www.SellMyNiche.com which if you read our last post at mysevenfigures.com/sevenfigureblog/a-new-journey You’ll know is the top of John and I’s first real marketing funnel for 7 Figures LLC
Enjoy the article, and then come on over to www.SellMyNiche.com and get your free membership so that you can learn to start a business with buying and selling websites!
Is Website Flipping A Profitable Business?
It seems that everyone is running around like a chicken with their head cut off in this big sea of “income opportunity”. The whole “make money online” propaganda is at an all time high and literally thousands of people are falling for scam after scam. People are losing money each and every day!
If you’re one of these people that is chasing after the get rich quick dream, it’s time to wake up. There’s no such thing! However, creating your own online business that will allow you to work from home and make money is not a dream. It can be a reality once you quit chasing dream after dream in your “get rich quick” state of mind.
Building a business online or offline is not easy. Building an online business, takes less money, less people, just about less everything, but it still takes just as much work as starting an offline business. You simply have to pick one business model and put it into place.
Would you run out and try starting 10 different offline brick and mortar businesses? Of course not, so why do that online. Pick one thing and go for it! By starting with just one business, you’ll be 100 times more successful than you would with 100 different business. Once you get one business started and profiting, then and only then do you want to try to start another business.
For instance, an online business that I run is a VRE (virtual real estate) business where we buy websites, fix them up and sell them for way more than we paid for them. It’s called website flipping.
Kind of like house flipping, but this real estate doesn’t carry much risk, and it’s virtual. Websites are online real estate, and there’s a lot of money to be made with them. As long as you have a solid plan, and the know how, you should do perfect with a website flipping business.
The first thing you’ll need to know is where to people buy and sell websites. Second, you’ll need to know how to spot bargains and snatch them up to resell. Besides these two things, you’ll need some “tech” experience, or have the funds to hire someone that does have it. Last but not least, you’ll need the drive and desire to be a super project manager who can get things done quickly because website flipping is a very fast paced business.
Once you have the resources, the “tech” know how you need, and the drive, you are well on your way to starting a profitable online business with website flipping, but do know that there is a sharp learning curve, so you need to learn as much about website flipping as you can.
Although website flipping is much less risky and cost much less than house flipping, you could still lose money or get taken. So before “playing the game”, make sure you know how to plan and the rules to follow.
Liz Tomey runs www.SellMyNiche.com where she educates people on buying and selling websites. Although her primary focus is showing people how to flip websites, her site covers everything from website flipping to buying websites to simply profit from. She has a very extensive free course where you can learn the ins and outs of buying and selling websites at no cost at www.SellMyNiche.com
Hi there!
Liz Tomey here from www.MySevenFigures.com and John and I would first like to say thanks so much to all of you and the amazing feedback you left for the last newsletter. This blog is here to teach you and John and I love getting feedback from you.
All you have to do is click on the comment link at the end of each post…
John and I are switching gears here a little bit. We will be releasing InstantPLRCash.com on July 24th. This will be the last PLR/ resell rights site that we will release for quite a while because we are starting on a new profit funnel that will take us some time to complete.
What’s this profit funnel about?
Buying and selling niche websites. We are building it live in front of our Zero To Hero coaching clients, so they are getting to see and learn the behind the scenes stuff, but John and I will be keeping you up to date on what’s going on too.
So, let’s start off by defining what a profit funnel is…
A profit funnel is the buying system you send your prospects through.
Many of you who are on John and I’s list got here because you became a free member at www.ResellRightsForNewbies.com Some of you even became customers through that site because once you signed up for free you were presented with a one time offer that gave you the option to buy something from us.
You were put into our buying system which is called a marketing funnel…
Below you can see what a marketing funnel looks like…

Now this is just an example. You could have different prices, maybe you need to sell services instead of products, or whatever it may be, but that is an example of a profit funnel.
Now you understand a bit about profit funnels.
There’s a great article about profit funnels at ezinearticles.com/?An-Introduction-to-Your-Profit-Funnel&id=267453 and I highly recommend that you read that.
The first site in John and I’s buying and selling niche websites profit funnel will be www.SellMyNiche.com which should be live in the next couple of days. It’s a free site (at the top of every funnel there should be something free), and will be available to all of our readers in just a few days.
As we build this funnel, we will keep you up to date, and how we’re doing with it.
We’ve taken our own device and are doing things one at a time now, and highly recommend that you do the same…
Decide what niche you want to start your profit funnel in, and then start planning on how to build it. Use the diagram above as a guide!
Stay tuned…
Hi there 7Figure Seekers…
Liz Tomey here with another issue of MySevenFigures…
John and I were supposed to be publishing this newsletter twice a month. That hasn’t quite happened. As a matter of fact, we are WAY off on our goals to make 7 figures this year. Looks like John might get that purple Mohawk after all.
So, today you’re going to get a good education in what John and I have done wrong and what you can do to prevent it.
First off, John and I both have our own separate businesses from 7 Figures LLC. John writes copy, and I do about a million other things. So our biggest problem is just being way to spread out. Each of our individual businesses are also doing well, but if we weren’t trying to juggle so much, they’d be doing a lot better too.
What can you learn from this?
You need to stay focused. Pick just one thing and stay with it. You cannot do everything. It will effect everything if you try and do everything. Believe me!
Another thing you need to learn from this is to outsource more. The more work you can give other people the more work you’ll be able to accomplish.
I currently have 2 writers, 2 graphics designers, and a programmer/webmaster. Why? Because there is no way I could do the things I do if I didn’t have a team to help me. Outsourcing is super easy. I’ve gone on several rants about it.
There’s a great course out there called Outsource and Delegate at www.mysevenfigures.com/recommends/makemoremoney I can’t recommend that product enough!
So, stay focused on one thing and outsource, right?
So, what are John and I doing to make sure that 7 Figures LLC will meet it’s goals this year?
First we are each starting with our own businesses. I know John is outsourcing a lot of stuff (no not his copy… he is a copywriter after all), and I am taking MANY projects and just flat getting rid of them. I’m trying to stream line my business and only do what I do best which is teach people to create products and sell them online.
So probably within the next month, we’ll have things calmed down with our own individual businesses and then can come back and breath some life into 7 Figures LLC.
The first thing we will be doing is building our first “profit funnel”.
Side Note: If you don’t know what a profit funnel is, don’t worry, we’ll be going over it a lot soon.
It’s what our Zero To Hero coaching clients are learning right now.
We will be doing this profit funnel in a niche that most aren’t tapping into yet. The buying and selling of websites niche. We have a free product lined up, and our paid product is in the works. So, the top of our funnel is shaping up. We’ll probably do 3-5 products in this funnel, and then start in on another niche. Not until we get this first one done though, right?
If you answered yes, then you have been paying attention.
Okay, so that’s where John and I are at. We’ve got a long way to go, and short time to get there, but we are seeing what we are doing wrong and fixing it.
Don’t ever be afraid to mess up, but always learn from what you have messed up and fix it!
John will be back in a few weeks with another issue of My Seven Figures, so stay tuned!

Wow. Time flies.
Sorry, about the missing newsletters guys, but I’ll give you a little insight as to all that’s been going on so we can get you totally up to snuff.
But first, the idea of this newsletter was to help keep Liz and me on track for our 7 figure 2007, as well as allow you a peek into our efforts, to help you.
I promised I would give you all the details, even the numbers, so at the end of the year, we would all know whether I was getting a purple Mohawk.
Well, Q1 is done, and I have some hustling to do;-) Here’s how my months broke out:
January - $31,939.11
February - $24,535.45
March - $38,349.56
Q1 Total - $94,824.12
Not a bad haul for 3 months, and I’m definitely not complaining, but if you carry this out over a year, it puts me at a little under half of my 7 Figure goal. So, there is much work to be done.
And after tabulating this I went to Walgreens, bought some of that colored hair spray that washes out, just so I could get an idea of what this is gonna look like.
It wasn’t pretty. At all. Purple and I go together like Justin Timberlake and speed metal.
Luckily I had to shave my head bald for a recent surgery so any trace of me with purple hair has been completely erased.
It was a good exercise because it reinforced the fact that I need to get on the stick, or I was going to look like an Easter egg, and not those pretty ones.
So, that’s the bad news.
The good news is that Liz and I have not yet launched some of the several sites that we have planned that will add a great deal into the monthly bottom line.
These sites will be residual earners, so once they are launched the hard parts will have already been done. They will simply require some monthly maintenance, but not the kind of concerted efforts we’re putting into them to get them launched.
The lesson here, for all of us, is that consistent income is far easier with residual income models. Common sense? Yep…but I think we’re all guilty of ignoring that from time to time. I certainly am.
So, let’s take a quick look at where the income above was derived from:
· Copywriting services
· Testing services
· Coaching
· Product releases
· Niche turnkey businesses
It’s no secret that much of my business has revolved around copywriting, and I don’t recommend something like this as a long term model because it is trading time for money (see comments about residual models above).
But, that said, I will also say that if you have a marketable skill that the Internet marketing community has a need for, it the easiest and fastest way to ‘break through’.
You see, if you can design web sites, write code, write copy, or offer some kind of value, including even virtual admin services, then chances are you will be doing business with some of the industry big hitters pretty quickly.
And if you build on those relationships, then guess what?
You open yourself for possible JV opportunities on products, residual and otherwise, that you may not otherwise have had.
The people that I have worked for and with combine for millions and millions in sales every year. And the relationships are largely built because I have worked for them at some point.
So, if you have a skill, and you are struggling to break through…get out there and offer it up. Soon enough you’ll be emailing and phoning folks you never thought possible.
Make sure it’s a short term strategy with a plan to move into other areas, or at least make sure that you can scale the business model, because otherwise may run into some problems.
For example, I was sick for about 6 weeks, in the hospital a couple of times, and that made it very very difficult to be a copywriter. Because I have other revenue streams in place, I was still able to support my family the way that I want to.
But 6 lost weeks for someone that trades time for money is heavy stuff.
Before I wrap up this newsletter, I also want to share a business idea that I never see talked about, and that could make you a fortune, if you put in a little effort.
One of my profit models is as a testing consultant. This pays and pays well.
You see, smart marketers follow their metrics closely so they know how profitable their products are. And good copywriters are not always easy to find, so quite regularly, marketers will find themselves with sales copy that is not converting well at all.
Enter the testing consultant.
Rather than rewriting copy as a whole, you are taking multiple variables within the copy or sales page, and seeing what converts the best, with the end goal of raising those conversions as high as you can.
Payments for these kinds of services range from a flat fee, to a flat fee plus a percentage of future sales.
And this isn’t a hard sell for the marketers that follow their metrics because they know that any increase in conversions you afford them is found money, and more profit.
Sound hard? Well it’s so not, but you do need to have a good understanding of copy, and what affects conversion rates.
If you do, then think about starting your own testing services business. It will soon become commonplace and why not be one of the folks that helped to build that segment of the industry?
You would have the chance to be a ‘pioneer’.
Ok, that’s enough yapping outta me today. Keep your eyeballs peeled for the next letter from Liz later this month…
Liz and I both wish you all a marvelous weekend. And if you celebrate Easter, then a very Happy Easter to you.
Cheers,
John & Liz

Hi there…
Liz Tomey here from www.MySevenFigures.com with your next my Seven Figures Newsletter, and tonight I want to share even more with you about what John and I are doing on our quest to make 1 million this year. Yes, that’s dollars…
In the last newsletter, John told you the steps we took and why you need to take them when getting started. Basically we are starting from scratch. I’m not using my list and he’s not using his list. This way you can see what it takes to start your own 1M business, and do what we call… “Getting Millionized”…
John also gave you a plan that he used to generate $3,500 in just a few hours. Well John just did that same thing again! Another $3500, so that’s $7000 in just a few weeks. If you missed that, you can see what John did by going to mysevenfigures.com/sevenfigureblog/your-first-my-seven-figures-newsletter-from-john-liz
Now that John has told you what we’re doing, and given you his plan that has made him $7000 in just a few weeks, I want to share another one of our plans to “Get Millionized” this year, and it falls under the category of membership sites.
I never paid attention to the power of membership sites until I started talking to a few of my buddies who not only have memberships in the Internet marketing niche, but also in other niche markets.
The key to this is finding a small niche and providing monthly content to that niche for a fair price. Easier said than done I know. So let’s pick this apart and see what you need to do…
1. Find a niche…
John and I picked the private label rights niche because we both know a lot about it, and know there’s a lot of money in it.
Many will tell you to stay out of the Internet marketing niche, but I personally think it’s one of the easiest niches to make money in. It’s the first niche I got into online, and I’ll be real honest with you. If I hadn’t of made money in it, I wouldn’t have gone into any other of the niches that I have. So I recommend you start with something in the Internet marketing/make money niche. It’s competitive, but with the right marketing tactics, you can and will make money and then get the experience you need to go into other niches.
2. Decide what content you’ll provide your members.
John and I thought long and hard about this. We looked at what our competition was doing, did it better and gave more.
You can do the same thing. Say you want to start a membership on list building. Go out and search for list building. See what the other sites are giving. Don’t copy them, but work from ideas you get from them, and add your own style. What can you do to make it better?
Grab a pen and piece of paper and write down what you’ll be giving people each month. Here are some ideas….
Ebooks
Audios
Videos
Software
Special Reports
3. Setup shop
Now once you have your niche, and know what you’re going to give your members each month, it’s time to get to the technical side of things. You’ll need some kind of membership script and a payment processor.
I recommend the Amember script from amember.com and using 2Checkout.com as your payment processor. I am NOT a fan of PayPal, and here’s why: www.JustSayNoToPayPal.com You’ll get the idea there…
Next, you’ll need a sales letter, and I highly recommend John as a copywriter, or you can do your own. Last but not least, you’ll need to setup the inside of your members area.
Step three will probably be your hardest step. If you don’t know how to install scripts, and build websites, this will be your hardest step, however, I do have a really good resource that can help you. My programmer.
His name is James Marsh, and he’s VERY inexpensive compared to other programmers out there, and can do just about anything you want. See his site at www.RentAWebmaster.ca Once you get to the point of setting up your membership, contact him and tell him what you need done and he’ll work with you to get it done.
4. Deciding what to charge…
Okay, now here’s where the big secret comes in… I have found that charging small prices for a monthly membership works like crazy. Now with the first membership John and I are coming out with, it’s not going to be a small monthly fee because we are offering some stuff that is going to cost us a lot of money, but if you are providing things that don’t cost you a lot, try charging a small price like $9.95.
The reason behind this is…
1. People will feel like they are getting a bargain. Just make sure you give them a lot for this small price, and you’ll have a monthly member who pays you $9.95 a month for the life of your site.
2. When it’s such a small fee like this people sometimes don’t even care, and stay subscribed because it’s not worth the hassle of unsubscribing. That’s terrible, but it’s true. I can think of at least 3 memberships right now that I pay less than $20 a month for that I haven’t logged into for months. Now you shouldn’t use this as a tactic, but it is another good reason to keep your monthly membership fee at a low cost.
5. Now it’s time to promote…
Everything is all setup, and now it’s time to promote, what do you do now? Well, it’s time to do some serious work. When someone comes to me and says…
“I don’t know what to do to promote my site.” I give them the following answer and you’re going to be amazed at how well it works…
1. Go to www.EzineArticles.com
2. Search for: traffic, or website traffic, or web promotion or any other variation
3. Grab a pen and paper
4. Start with the first article you read and try to find at least one tactic that you can use to get traffic to your site.
5. Keep reading and writing down what you learn.
6. Try what you have written down. The ones that work, use them over and over. The ones that don’t scrap them.
This is exactly what I did when I got started. Notice I didn’t say go out and buy this ebook, or this software. I just told you to learn and use what you learn, and that’s really what it’s all about.
So is what John and I have done is built our first membership site in our quest for a 1 million dollar year. The charge will be $97 a month, and we are only excepting 300 members. That will give us $29,000 of our $83,000 monthly income we need to make our goal.
Now you may not be able to do something this big, but you’ve got to start somewhere, so I suggest that you go back up to number 1 above. Pick your niche… Decide what content you’re going to give that niche… Setup your site… Charge $9.95 a month for it… Promote…
With only 100 members, you’re making almost $1000 a month…
Make a goal with your site. Say your goal is to have 300 members at $9.95 a month. That’s really not hard to do. That’s almost $3000 a month. Once you have met that goal, start another membership site, with a new goal of 300 members. Now you have two sites making you almost $6000 a month. You only have to update your sites once a month, so it’s not going to take much work.
So now I’ve shared John and I’s second plan of achieveing our goal this year. Learn from what I’ve just taught you, but more importantly, take action. If you sit and do nothing… NOTHING is all that’s going to happen. Start your adventure with a plan and a goal, and you’ll be unstoppable!

Welcome to the first installment of the My Seven Figures Newsletter and thanks for being a subscriber.
You’ll be receiving 2 of these every month…one from me…and one from Liz. We’ll be plugging you into what is working for us, and what isn’t.
As we mentioned when you first signed up, this isn’t about pimping every product under the sun to you for the sake of us living large.
This is about you getting an insider’s look at our quest for 7 figures in 2007.
Let me address one other very important point here. A couple folks have emailed me, asking why we feel the urge to “show off”…
This has nothing to do with “showing off” either.
This newsletter has two purposes. To give Liz and me the extra mental boost and focus to accomplish our objectives…
And to hopefully help you grow your business by mirroring what we do that works.
Ok, with that out of the way… In order for us to each achieve our 7 figure objectives, we’ll need to bring in $83,333.33 per month.
When Liz and I first discussed doing this newsletter it was back in November of 2006. We began to plot out how we would reach our 7 figure goals, but we knew we’d have to put some serious efforts into several months in 07.
While we both bring in a comfortable 6 figures we’re going to need to make up some ground for the early months of the year, as we begin putting our efforts into play.
So, here are some things we did to prepare for the year, and to begin achieving our goals.
1) We created a business plan. You may have heard this before, but this is so critical. You simply cannot achieve incredible success without planning and carving out your path.
If you’re not certain how to get started on creating your plan, here’s a software program created strictly for Internet Marketers that really simplifies the process.
http://www.lamakalla.com/BPS.htm It’s going to run you $67 but it’s a terrific mechanism for creating your own plan, and getting your business directionally correct.
2) We got organized. Liz and I knew that it would take several different projects and several different business types to get us where we wanted to be.
We also knew that with everything we had on our individual plates, plus our combined efforts that some of the “to-do’s” could get lost or left for dead.
Enter Basecamp at http://www.basecamphq.com This is an online project management utility designed to keep all your projects organized, on time, and in one place.
I could go on and on and on about all the bells and whistles, but I’ll let you check it out for yourself. It’s very affordable, has a free trial, and is super easy to use.
So, we crafted a plan, got organized, and now we’re on our way to implementing. You’ll be hearing more about this implementation in upcoming newsletters.
One other thing before I sign off today. While I’m looking to end January in only five figures, I did happen upon a nice little business model I thought you might be interested in.
It made me a quick $3500, and could easily be replicated time and time again. That said, it would take some work. But even if you could only do this twice per month, that’s a handy $7000. Right?
Here’s what I did exactly…
1) I had a niche web site that was part of my plan in mid 2006, but never got around to doing anything with it. As Liz and I were preparing for 2007 I realized that this was not part of the new business model.
My first thought was, “Leave it for dead”. My second thought was, “Don’t be stupid. Monetize it somehow”.
2) Initially I was going to take the web site and the product and sell 10 PLR licenses or $500. I could have done that, but again this was no longer part of my business model. So, I opted to just sell the whole kit and caboodle as a business.
3) I went back, took a look at my copy, made some quick tweaks, and then created a Sales Letter to sell the whole business. The person that bought it from me would get the product, the product sales letter, the product Thank You page, and he domain name.
4) Then, I went to the Warrior Forum (Internet Marketing Forum) and created a WSO (Warrior Special Offer) which is essentially a $20 classified ad that is very targeted to Internet Marketers, and I sold my niche business.
5) The results. I had $3500 within 2 hours of posting the ad.
Can you do this? Sure you can. Be certain you have a quality product with quality copy, and of course it needs to be your own product.
Also, the Warrior Forum is a great place to market your wares, but you do need to respect it by not being spammy, and by only offering quality.
If you can bring that to the table then by all means, give this a run and pad your pockets by selling off businesses you may have left for dead, or create some new ones and sell the “business in a box”.
People love easy, and they love to not have to do the work.
That’s it for now. Liz is on deck with the next newsletter in a couple of weeks, and more information on what she and I are up to.
Please ask questions, leave comments, and let us know what you’re thinking.
Till Next Time,
John & Liz
PS – If I don’t hit my goal this year, I will be getting a purple Mohawk. Feel free to offer suggestions as to what we do to Liz;-)
