Hey Jeff,

Yeah - this one had to be limited in order to protect your investment as a customer.

I'm speaking in general terms, as limitations are often placed for scarcity sake, and I wanted to point out the limitations of - well, limitations:-)

Dennis - that really is a loaded question and is completely offer dependent. I will say this though in response to, "Set your F/E price then make your OTO (upsell) 50% less than the frontend… Then if they didn’t take the upsell, offer a downsell at rough 25% of F/E price."...

I'm suggesting trying higher price points on that OTO. For example, I know of one recent launch where the front end was free, and the OTO was $197. Conversion there was 7.something percent during peak launch time.

Big leap and it worked really really well. So, consider the higher price points when you are mapping out that OTO.

Cheers,
John

John...

This is a very insightful post... You certainly helped answer some questions I had rattling around in my mind about backend conversions relative to frontend scarcity. Thank you.

I'm guessing there is a frontend/backend pricing sweetspot? What's the best combination you have seen?
(I'm guessing that's a bit of a loaded question, as I'm sure it is offer-dependent)

However, I have heard a couple of 'rules of thumb' for this sort of thing... And I would like you to 'check me on my understanding'...

Set your F/E price then make your OTO (upsell) 50% less than the frontend... Then if they didn't take the upsell, offer a downsell at rough 25% of F/E price.

Have you seen this combo?

Hi John,

I for one appreciate the fact that you
limited the release. It means I have a
fighting chance, to make some money.

It was an outstanding package, and I'm
grateful to you, and Liz, for a great
value.

I've already learned several things I've
been wanting clarity, and focus on, it's
always great, when I can go and impliment
things at the speed of thought.

To your backend! lol and your purple mohawk!

Thanks for the lesson!

Best Wishes,
Jeff Davis

Hi,
I couldn't agree with you more about the spreading yourself to thin part. After buying bunches of money making systems, I lost track of my objective..........making money.
