My Seven Figures Newsletter Issue #4
June 22nd, 2007 by Liz
Hi there 7Figure Seekers…
Liz Tomey here with another issue of MySevenFigures…
John and I were supposed to be publishing this newsletter twice a month. That hasn’t quite happened. As a matter of fact, we are WAY off on our goals to make 7 figures this year. Looks like John might get that purple Mohawk after all.
So, today you’re going to get a good education in what John and I have done wrong and what you can do to prevent it.
First off, John and I both have our own separate businesses from 7 Figures LLC. John writes copy, and I do about a million other things. So our biggest problem is just being way to spread out. Each of our individual businesses are also doing well, but if we weren’t trying to juggle so much, they’d be doing a lot better too.
What can you learn from this?
You need to stay focused. Pick just one thing and stay with it. You cannot do everything. It will effect everything if you try and do everything. Believe me!
Another thing you need to learn from this is to outsource more. The more work you can give other people the more work you’ll be able to accomplish.
I currently have 2 writers, 2 graphics designers, and a programmer/webmaster. Why? Because there is no way I could do the things I do if I didn’t have a team to help me. Outsourcing is super easy. I’ve gone on several rants about it.
There’s a great course out there called Outsource and Delegate at www.mysevenfigures.com/recommends/makemoremoney I can’t recommend that product enough!
So, stay focused on one thing and outsource, right?
So, what are John and I doing to make sure that 7 Figures LLC will meet it’s goals this year?
First we are each starting with our own businesses. I know John is outsourcing a lot of stuff (no not his copy… he is a copywriter after all), and I am taking MANY projects and just flat getting rid of them. I’m trying to stream line my business and only do what I do best which is teach people to create products and sell them online.
So probably within the next month, we’ll have things calmed down with our own individual businesses and then can come back and breath some life into 7 Figures LLC.
The first thing we will be doing is building our first “profit funnel”.
Side Note: If you don’t know what a profit funnel is, don’t worry, we’ll be going over it a lot soon.
It’s what our Zero To Hero coaching clients are learning right now.
We will be doing this profit funnel in a niche that most aren’t tapping into yet. The buying and selling of websites niche. We have a free product lined up, and our paid product is in the works. So, the top of our funnel is shaping up. We’ll probably do 3-5 products in this funnel, and then start in on another niche. Not until we get this first one done though, right?
If you answered yes, then you have been paying attention.
Okay, so that’s where John and I are at. We’ve got a long way to go, and short time to get there, but we are seeing what we are doing wrong and fixing it.
Don’t ever be afraid to mess up, but always learn from what you have messed up and fix it!
John will be back in a few weeks with another issue of My Seven Figures, so stay tuned!

Hey Liz, great issue.
I will be looking forward to more of your ideas on staying focused on one thing at a time.
Especially where the lack of finances and having to do it all by ones self (in the beginning) are concerned.
Also, this is the first issue that I have caught. I must have been asleep at the wheel. Are there any archives to access back issues?
Looking forward to issue #5.

I’ve just read all four letters - didn’t have time before - and you’ve already given my an idea for a monetization method.
Thanks for the info, not the same as all the other GooRoos!

John & Liz, I like the report and the no BS approach. It encourages me to continue to work on my opportunity without getting too distracted. The only question I do have is how to manage risks by having a number of irons in the fire rather than trying to rely on the one winner which may not come through. I suppose that the answer is to have maybe two or three irons in the fire and keep stoking the fire rather than trying to keep on finding more irons. These end up bringing down the temperature of the fire and affecting those irons which are there.

Hi,
I couldn’t agree with you more about the spreading yourself to thin part. After buying bunches of money making systems, I lost track of my objective……….making money.
